Read Customs Declaration

The sender certifies that all information provided in this shipment registration form is accurate and truthful to the best of their knowledge.

The sender understands that international shipments are subject to inspection by aviation security authorities, customs authorities, and border agencies including the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

The sender acknowledges that providing false or misleading information, under-declaring value, misrepresenting shipment contents, or concealing prohibited items may result in seizure of goods, administrative penalties, fines, shipment delays, destruction of goods, or legal prosecution under applicable customs and aviation security laws.

The sender accepts full responsibility for the contents of the shipment and confirms that the shipment complies with all export regulations of Ethiopia and import regulations of Canada.

Certain goods may not be transported internationally due to aviation safety regulations, customs restrictions, or import regulations.

Examples include but are not limited to:

  • meat or meat products
  • dairy products
  • fresh food
  • liquids and oils
  • alcohol
  • flammable substances
  • chemicals
  • hazardous materials
  • lithium batteries
  • firearms or weapon parts
  • drugs or pharmaceuticals without proper authorization

This list is provided for guidance only and is not exhaustive.

The sender is responsible for ensuring that the shipment does not contain restricted or prohibited items according to airline regulations, Ethiopian export regulations, and Canadian import laws.

Read Inspection Authorization

The sender authorizes the cargo operator, aviation security authorities, customs officers, and designated logistics partners to inspect, scan, open, or otherwise examine the shipment if required for aviation safety, regulatory compliance, or customs clearance procedures.

Inspection may include physical opening of packages, x-ray scanning, or other approved security screening methods.

Such inspection may occur in Ethiopia, during transit, or in Canada upon arrival.

Read Customs Clearance Authorization (POA)

The sender and receiver grant authorization to the cargo company and its designated customs broker to represent them for customs clearance procedures in Canada.

This authorization includes submitting shipment information to customs authorities, responding to customs inquiries, providing documentation when required, and facilitating release of goods for delivery.

The sender understands that customs authorities may assess duties, taxes, or other charges based on the declared value and classification of goods.
